Roman incised lettering is the inspiration for these typeface capitals. Used in layers, a combination of any two fonts can evoke a real sense of the period - combine white Solid font with Incised font, or white Solid with Shadow.
Created in 1986, the inspiration for the original typeface family came from my childhood experiences in the 1960s at Monkton, amidst an historic part of Somerset in the South West of England.
